The Second Vision of Istanbul
Another vision of Istanbul that I shall treasure in my mind’s eye because it captures the essence, the mysticism of that city if you leave out all the divergent groups attempting to establish their own points of view as the only way to exist.
This photograph is taken from the Galata Bridge, around 5:00 in the afternoon, the sun was struggling to remain in the sky and I had just finished a day of dashing about the city, capturing images with my camera. I was moved by the city and inspired and I could not stop myself and every photograph I took turned out well and I was left with the opinion that it is impossible to take a bad photograph in Istanbul.
Don’t ask me about the techniques of photography. I can only advise someone who wants to take a good photograph: Look through the viewfinder. When I take a photograph, I see, I shoot, I pray. I am lucky all the time with this technique. However, the drawback to this is if I am not inspired, I cannot take a good photograph. I can only take ugly snapshots. The first time I took good photographs was in 1984 and then I never took another good photograph until the year 2000. That should tell you that I was basically uninspired for 16 years.

Whoops, this isn’t Susanne’s blog. What an awesome blog this is though!!! The photos and posts are spectacular. I found you through my new dashboard on Blog Catalog and didn’t read it right. It’s still confusing and I’m getting used to it.
