Kevin Costner “Feel Like a Star” for Turkish Airlines
I just returned from a trip to the United Arab Emirates where I saw a commercial on Satellite TV either on CNN, BBC News or Al Jazeerah. The commercial features Kevin Costner and the slightly jazz showbiz song “Feel Like a Star”. Head office Istanbul, Turkish Airlines has hired Mr. Cool himself, Kevin Costner to advertise and fly to Istanbul in what looks like business class on the Turkish airline. I checked with my friends back home and none had seen the commercial so I thought I would borrow it from YouTube to show everyone.
Turkish Airlines flies direct from New York to Istanbul and from Toronto to Istanbul, sometimes at better prices than other airline carriers. I’ve never used them, but friends who have said all was good. I wonder how they compare to Emirates Airlines?
Anyways, you never would have guessed at the beginning of the commercial that Kevin Costner was advertising Turkish Airlines. Who knew?
Kevin has recently been seen performing in Europe as a musician with his new band “Modern West”. No doubt, he is well liked in Turkey and they decided at Turkish Airlines that this actor was who they wanted as a symbol to push Turkish Airlines to the front as the number one carrier to Istanbul. In the commercial, he looks suave and debonair, just cool enough for the guys and girls. Like him, just subtle enough and oh so handsome.
