In Search of the Little Boy of Istanbul - Published
Great News I wanted to share with my readers! The poem In Search of the Little Boy of Istanbul” has been published.
The poem was published in the latest edition of Yeni Hayat a local community newspaper in the city of Toronto, March edition, page 11. The newspaper Yeni Hayat has published both the Turkish and Kurdish versions of the poem. The two versions take up 2/3’s of the entire page space, so I am happy and somewhat flattered.
I only regret that they did not mention the translators of the poems, Hulya Oyman for the Turkish version and Mamoste Hesen for the Kurdish version and neither did they mention my website name. Mentioning my website name would have brought readers to this site to enable them to view the poem in the context of the whole project and photographs.
Furthermore, Yeni Hayat has also indicated to me that they wish to interview me in the next edition. I’ll keep you posted.
