Imagine the Sunsets in Istanbul
It is impossible to forget the sunrises and sunsets of Istanbul.
The light of the sky was always pink and gold in Istanbul, so I wrote in the poem “In Search of the Little Boy of Istanbul”. When I traveled to Istanbul, there was always such a beautiful light in the sky which made the city such and excellent location for photography. I have always said it is impossible to take a bad photograph in Istanbul. Perhaps, the light is the reason for this.
Maybe the color of the sky comes from its longitude of 28° 55′ 38″ and latitude of 41° 1′ 15″ positioning. Perhaps the light in the sky comes from the positioning of the sun at this point over the city. But one man, a businessman
no doubt, spoiled all my romantic visions of the city. He told me that the magical light in the sky comes from the pollution in the city of Istanbul. Cars jam the city streets all the time, coal is mainly used for home heating and perhaps there are factories there that I never noticed.
However, I still love the light and the color of Istanbul as it reflects off the surrounding waters onto the buildings of oranges, reds, and pastels. This light in the sky makes the city the perfect backdrop for the artist or photographer. Inspiration surrounds you everywhere.
I managed to take many photos of sunrises and sunsets in Istanbul. None of these photographs have been re-touched in Photoshop or any other image management system. The colors in these photographs are exactly as they were in Istanbul. These are the places and times of day I wish to share with you, my reader.
