Imagine Istanbul
In 2004, I made this Flash movie for the poem “In Search of the Little Boy of Istanbul”.
It is the tale of the search for the little boy - a vision of the city of Istanbul, its people, in harmony with rhythm, images, word and sound.
It might take some time to download onto your computer, please be patient. Turn on your speakers on.
Technically, I was concerned I would have difficulty embedding the Flash file into a WordPress blog, but after I downloaded the Kimili Flash Embed plugin, it plays like it Dream. Perhaps it is a dream.
Scroll down a little. Enjoy the movie!

Thank you so much. Somebody else told me that the movie made her cry and then she went to Istanbul herself. I work at the great big bank because I’m just an artist trying to survive in the Real World.

I am glad you got the opportunity to travel to Istanbul. It is the first place I discovered the true meaning of the word “awesome”.

My dear sister, I have already commented on your poem, and now I have seen your beautiful movie. Imagine my surprise when I saw the picture of the boy. Is that the boy you saw? I know it can’t be possible, but he looks just like the boy that shined my shoes. Or perhaps the boy is different, but the eyes; they are the same. Thank you for the chance to remember him. T. H. W. Teresa,
I am so happy that you found my website and it has given you pleasure and that I could encounter you through your comments. It is perhaps by “Six Degrees of Separation” that we already know eachother. If you read my article about Bahman Ghobadi, I write a little about this theory - the “Six Degrees of Separation”.
